It’s time for a new make-up post, yay! So, a while ago, I received some products from the latest collaboration from Urban Decay. The UD x Kristen Leanne collection, Kristen Leanne is a very popular beauty youtuber who is really killing the make-up game. I was very excited to try out the products and I was immediately obsessed with the packaging, it’s soo beautiful and colourful!

I’ve been trying out the products for a few days now, so I thought it’s time for a review and I would like to share my honest thoughts with you guys.

First of all, I would like to start with the highlighter palette, it’s called ‘beauty beam’ and it has 3 shades. I feel like the middle shade is the best shade for me, but I’ve also tried to mix them and that also gives a nice effect! I would rate this palette a 7/10, it’s not the most eye-blinding highlighter ever, but I really do like it for when I want a more subtle glow. The price of the palette is: 39€, which is a reasonable price, for the amount of highlighter you get.

I also received 2 lipsticks, I really love Urban Decay lipsticks! And these two also didn’t dissapoint me at all! I got them in the colours: bun bun which is a comfort matte, so it’s matte but still very comfortable to wear. And spellbound, which is a mega matte. I have nothing negative to say about these lipsticks, they feel very comfortable on my lips and last very long. I’m kinda obsessed with bun bun, I wear it very often. The lipsticks cost 19,90€, and they’re worth every penny! They’re definitely worth a 9/10. The make-up brand for all skintypes: Les Couleurs de Noir

Vandaag zal ik het met jullie hebben over het Belgische make-up merk: ‘Les couleurs de noir’. Les couleurs de noir werd in 2012 opgericht en is het ideale cosmeticamerk voor alle huidtypes. Hun overtuiging is dan ook dat elke vrouw recht heeft op schoonheids- en verzorgingsproducten zelfs al heb je een probleemhuid. De producten worden exclusief verkocht in apotheken, maar je kan het ook online bestellen op hun website.

Zelf kreeg ik 3 producten opgestuurd namelijk: de CC cream, de soft touch bronzer en de poederkwast n°1. Ondertussen heb ik de producten grondig getest en zal ik mijn mening hierover met jullie delen.

Het 1e product waarover ik het zal hebben is de CC cream, deze heb ik in de kleur ’03 moyen’ ontvangen. De kleur is perfect voor mij, niet te donker en niet te licht. Ik ben heel enthousiast over dit product! In de zomer is het vrij vervelend om elke dag foundation te dragen, zeker als het heel warm is. Een CC cream is dan eigenlijk de perfecte oplossing, het voelt heel licht aan en heeft een vrij goede dekking en blijft ook mooi zitten. Wat ook een positief puntje is, is dat er een ‘SPF  15’ inzit dit is toch vrij belangrijk om je gezicht te beschermen tegen de zon.  Het is ook vrij van parfum en parabenen, de prijs van de CC cream bedraagt: 21,90€. Over dit product heb ik niets negatiefs te zeggen en het krijgt een 8/10 van mij.

En dan nu over naar de bronzer, ook dit product vind ik super fijn! Deze bronzer bestaat in 2 kleuren: ‘blondes’ voor de lichte huidtypes en ‘brunettes’ voor de donkerdere huid. Ik heb de variant voor de ‘donkerdere huid’, en die is perfect voor mij. De bronzer is heel makkelijk om mee te werken en je kan het goed opbouwen, van een subtiele dekking naar echt een goede contouring. Ik grijp zelf best vaak naar deze bronzer, zeker op dagen dat ik een beetje meer naturel wil zijn, omdat je het heel goed kan opbouwen. Ook dit product is heel goed van kwaliteit, voor de bronzer betaal je 23,99€. Ook over dit product heb ik eerlijk gezegd niets negatiefs te zeggen, en ik geef het ook een 8/10.

En dan, last but not least: de poederkwast n°1, dit is zonder twijfel mijn favoriet! Ik ben zo tevreden over deze kwast. Het is groot, de haartjes zijn super zacht en het glijdt gewoon over je gezicht! Ik gebruik deze kwast inmiddels elke dag en kan echt niet meer zonder! Als je nog op zoek bent naar een goede poederkwast dan is deze zeker een aanrader! Het is gemaakt van synthetische haren, en wordt met de hand gemaakt in Italië. De kwaliteit van deze kwast is echt super en het brengt je poeder flawless aan! De kwast is een beetje prijzig, namelijk 38€ maar het is echt een goede investering. Je zal er zeker geen spijt van hebben moest je hem kopen. Deze kwast krijgt van mij een 10/10, het is echt een van de beste kwasten die ik ooit geprobeerd heb.

Naked skin concealer vs Catrice liquid camouflage

Today I’m going to write a review about the ‘Naked skin concealer’ from Urban Decay and the ‘Catrice liquid camouflage concealer’ in which I’ll also compare them with each other.

Packaging

So first of all, let’s start with the packaging. I feel like both products  look  alike and that Catrice’s packaging is quite nice for a budget brand! The packaging is nice and it’s easy to use.

Efficiency

Both concealers work well for me. They do what they promise to do, and the pigmentation of both concealers is great. For the Catrice I use the color ’20 light beige’, and for the Urban decay one ‘light neutral’. But overall, I feel like the one from Catrice blends in better with my skin and foundation.

Thoughts

To be honest, with concealers, you often find the best ones in drugstores (ain’t lying!).
Even though I heard a lot of positive things about the ‘Naked skin concealer’, it’s not one of my biggest favorites.

I’m not saying it’s a bad product, but for the price I had expected maybe a little bit more of it! Overall, I really love the brand Urban Decay, and always have positive things to say about their products. But I feel like this concealer is  not worth the price.

It may seem strange but I like the one from Catrice better than the ‘Naked skin concealer’. The color is perfect for me. I use it under my eyes, with a beauty blender (always make your beauty blender wet with water or spray) and top it off with Catrice’s translucent loose powder (which also is a very nice product!).
With this little trick, your concealer won’t move or crease, all day long!

Overall both products are of very good quality, but I feel that in regard to the price difference buying one from Catrice is the better option,  because it’s really cheap (3,49€) and the naked skin concealer costs you (24,65€).  But I also think the color from Catrice is just nicer on me and blends better with my foundation. I think that’s the main reason as to why I like the one from Catrice more.
